ARTWORK NARRATIVE:

I have always had great affection for St. Joseph.

We need his gentle strength more than ever in these challenging and anxious days in our church, nation, and world.
—Br. Mickey McGrath, OSFS

St. Joseph, as we reflect upon the difficult journey that the Holy Family faced as refugees in Egypt, help us to remember the suffering of all immigrant families. Through your intercession we pray that all immigrants may be reunited with their loved ones and find the meaningful work they seek. Amen.

His feast day is March 19.

Prayer to St. Joseph for Safe Passage

St Joseph, you were told by an angel in a dream to flee into Egypt to save the lives of Jesus and Mary. Obtain for us the strength to seek a new life, one that is united to God in the decisions we are about to make. Pray for us that we may be safe and that God will provide for us on our journey. We ask your intercession for us to Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

St Joseph Prayer for Immigrants

St. Joseph, we venerate you as the model of laborers, the friend of the poor, the consoler of the afflicted and those forced to leave their own land, the saint of divine Providence. On earth you represented the universal goodness and concern of the heavenly Father. You were the carpenter of Nazareth and work teacher to the Son of God, who became a humble laborer for us. Assist with your prayers all who labor in intellectual, moral and manual labor. For the nations obtain legislation inspired by the Gospel, the spirit of Christian charity, a way of governing in accord with justice and peace.

St. Joseph, intercede for us. Amen.
