This icon is in honor of the simple servant of God officially canonized September 4, 2016. Founder of the Missionaries of Charity, she spent a lifetime in service of those alone and dying in severe poverty around the world. Her followers lovingly carry on her work. A person whose actions speak volumes, she also knew the value of prayer and silence in God’s presence to feed her work.
