My wife and my first effort to restore our sanity and hope during the Pandemic, while observing social distancing, was to head to one of our most beloved landscapes, The San Rafael Swell area of Central Utah. As planned, there was no one within many miles of us during this excursion in our camper van. The region was formed 60 million years ago as a deeply buried dome of rock fractured and was forced to the surface. The area has eroded into the fantastic canyons, slots and peaks we see today.
