Though we don't know much about “the hidden years” of Jesus' childhood, we can only imagine the wonderful days Mary must have spent with Him in the carefree innocence that only comes from total trust in God's Divine Providence. In the United States, the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God is celebrated on January 1st. Of all the titles and honors given to the blessed mother, Mary, Mother of God may be the oldest and simplest yet the most profound.
