Madonna of a More Perfect Union is a celebration of six powerful women saints whose contributions have helped the United States grow as a nation of justice and diversity. They are united under the protective cape of Mary the Immaculate Conception, the Catholic patroness of our country. Among the six women are a Native American (Kateri Tekakwitha), an Italian immigrant (Frances Cabrini), and an African American nun, (Servant of God Sr. Thea Bowman.)
